Denna vädjan skickades i föreningens namn till Israels justitieminister, kommissionären för fängelserna, ministern för intern säkerhet samt en parlamentsledamot i Israel:

"It has come to our knowledge that a senior security official in the State of Israel has declared that Mr Morechai Vanunu is no longer to be regarded as a threat to the security of Israel.

Our organization has for many years participtated in the campaign to free Vanunu. It is commonly known that he now suffers from an aggravating condition, which is likely to get worse if his solitary confinement is prolonged any further.

On behalf of our organization I urge you to take any action which is in your power to end the solitary confinement of Mordechai Vanunu, to see to it that he is given the help he needs and that he is released from prison."
